Volunteer at an Event

Guidelines:

• Valid Beef Team Sponsored Volunteer Activities (e.g., cheer section, finish-line, or water stop) will be outlined in each volunteer event page on the Events Page.
• Volunteer activities not included on the Events Page are not valid entries for Sponsored Volunteer credit.
• As required, event contact information and external volunteer registration will be outlined on the event pages on the Events Page.
• One (1) Beef Team Sponsored Volunteer Activity must be completed by DECEMBER 1st each year to remain active on the team the following year.
• 15 Prime Cuts Points are available after the one (1) yearly required Beef Team Sponsored Volunteer Activity has been approved and recorded.
• A $30 charitable donation can be submitted in lieu of physically participating in a Beef Team Sponsored Volunteer Activity. Instructions on how to donate can be found here.
• Valid Beef Team apparel (“Fueled By Beef” or “Fuel For the Finish” tops) must be visibly worn on the outer layer of event attire for the entire duration of each volunteer activity. Exceptions to the outer layer guideline may be granted when wearing a Beef Loving Texans poncho or a clear, see-through poncho over valid Beef Team apparel during rainy events.
• Beef Team polo shirts and Eddie Bauer jackets are permitted to be worn during volunteer events only (not races).

Procedures:

The following steps are needed to receive credit for a Beef Team Sponsored Volunteer activity:

1. This step is essential! A minimum of 7 days prior to the event,  submit a Participation Form.
2. Within thirty (30) days AFTER the event, Submit a Report. All fields of the form must be filled out in order to submit including a photo of you wearing your official Beef Team gear during the volunteer service. If you completed multiple shifts, please ensure you are capturing unique images at each volunteer shift.
